About the Opportunity

Digital Management, LLC (DMI), is seeking to hire a Sr. Accounting Specialist to support corporate headquarters in McLean, VA.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager with primary responsibility of assisting in the monthly financial statement close and associated reporting. The Sr. Accounting Specialist will play an integral role in the accounting function within our Accounting department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assist with the month-end-close process accurately and timely in conjunction with corporate deadlines
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and schedules such as prepaids, accruals, etc.
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist accounting manager/assistant controller in monthly analysis and reporting of consolidated financial statements
  • Assist in reviewing client contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP. Ideal candidate possesses strong understanding of fixed price and T&M revenue recognition
  • Assist tax and compliance team in special projects as assigned
  • Provide support to department managers and other finance personnel in the preparation, understanding and use of financial information
  • Coordinate and review operations of foreign reporting units
  • Ability to support various audits and discussions
  • Handle other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelors in Accounting required, CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in either public accounting or a combination of public/industry

Required Skills/ Certifications:

  • Strong general ledger experience
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint (8.0 or higher) a plus
  • Familiarity of project set-up and organizational structure
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications with strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel
