Summary:

This position will support the Program Manager in the execution of the RPA SOC Program. The IT Operations Manager/System Administrator will lead a project team (5-20 people) of Engineers, Network Technicians, System Administrators, and Hardware Technicians with limited direction and supervision, and utilizing project management skills on assigned projects.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Responsible for the supervision of installation, testing, monitoring, maintenance and certification of network, servers, software and desktop equipment; associated ancillary electronic equipment and wiring per engineering specifications and operational procedures, both in technical facilities as well as on customer property in accordance with published Client Business standards.
  • Validates the results of testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment according to published equipment standards and certifies that the site installation is operational prior to returning the facility over to the on-site government representative.
  • Manages customers' expectations by coordinating the installation team's efforts, providing updates in the form of meetings, briefings, reports and/or emails.
  • Responsible for initiating or updating site documentation and providing copies to the on-site government representative prior to returning the facility to the government.
  • Utilizes the project team to provide new equipment training on the install systems.
  • May have to perform the duties of Hardware Technician, Network Technician, or System Administrator depending on the team composition.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results. Long hours and weekends may be required to meet deliverables.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Sit or Stand throughout a regular workday.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of job-related experience as a System Administrator or Network Technician/Engineer.
  • Prior experience as a Site Lead or Manager is required.
  • Must have and be willing to maintain a CompTIA SEC+ CE certification.
  • Must hold an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Travel is required (40 to 50%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desirable knowledge in Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Military experience preferred.
