Position Overview | The office associate will provide organizational and secretarial support for the director and assistant director of the The Examen(ed) Church and FaithForm programs. He/she will track the budget and provide budget reports, handle details for speakers from the university and broader faith community, secure reservations, provide correspondence, and (with the assistant director) maintain the program website. He/she will assist in preparations for conferences, workshops, and other events both on and off campus. The office associate will be responsible for mailings, filing, and publicity. This individual must be a creative self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision. The Examen(ed) Church and FaithForm are programs at Marquette University that support local churches and their members in living and passing along their faith. |
Duties and Responsibilities | 1. Provide office support for program coordinators in copying and distributing handouts and materials 2. Keep track of budget and accounts using Marquette financial systems 3. Assist in special event planning for conferences: arranging of bookings, payment of participants, preparation of print and electronic schedules 4. Communicate with university personnel, participating clergy and churches, and other contributors regarding events and resources. 5. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. |
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | High School education. Two years related experience required Proficient in Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Zoom, Teams. Experience with budget management. Proficient in management of financial information and use of Excel spreadsheets. Excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality. |
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Ability to learn Marquette web platform, Qualtrics. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic knowledge with social media, laptop skills, setup of projector |
